"A messy closet as a zine as a movie, feels caked in paste and collected in scraps of paper, plastic bags, fabric and liquid electricity. I can seen the need for a "pre fucked" cut and a "fuck it yourself" cut. It feels naturally enjazzed with prismacolor tachyon splendor but following that viewing with a clearer Arakian vision drives it home. They should be stitched together as one film, watched back to back. I also feel like I had Cronenberg experience like a physical sensation of being inside the film, like a discarnate presence in another realm, in someone else's dream. Every artist starts as a currator of their own path, first with your taste and ultimately a transmutation of those things and what's inside you. With "Mommy on Drugs" I see Trecartin, I see myself but mostly I see David Leo and I can't wait to see what's next."
